We’re sure you probably have some questions, Hopefully, if you are visiting us for the first time, these will provide you with some answers.

PARKING. We are located on North Race Street, just south of TJ Samson Hospital.  We have two driveway entrances to First Christian Church.  Coming from the square, our South entrance will lead you straight up a hill.  There will be a small parking lot on your left, where you are welcome to park.  You can find our main lot if you keep going straight.  There is handicap parking both in the main rear lot (elevator access to Sanctuary level) and at the Sanctuary entrance (enter at North drive).

WORSHIP SERVICE. Our 10:00am worship service is more of a formal, mainline church service.  Our ministers wear robes and stoles, and we sing traditional hymns accompanied by the pipe organ and piano.

NURSERY. We have a wonderful nursery that is located on the bottom floor of the office wing of the church (Right side if coming from the street).  Joan Sommerville and Donna Lawson , with years of combined nursery experience , are our nursery attendants.  Your children will be welcomed into a safe environment and tended to with the utmost care.

COMMUNION. The celebration of the Lord’s Supper is central to who we are as Christians.  We gather at the Lord’s Table each week, at both services.  At Morning Watch, we celebrate communion by intinction (everyone is is invited forward to take a piece of bread and dip it in the cup.)  Our Traditional worship at 10:45 celebrates the Lord’s Supper by passing the trays of bread and cup.  All are welcome at the Lord’s Table.

FELLOWSHIP TIME. Many people gather in the fellowship hall below the Sanctuary for a time of fellowship between Morning Watch and Sunday School.  There is always fresh coffee and doughnuts, and plenty of good conversation.

SUNDAY SCHOOL. Sunday School classes meet from 9:30 until about 10:15 a.m. We have many classes for all ages and interests. Ask for more information. We also have many youth and adult groups that meet at other times of the day or week. Check them out!
